Press Release
The University of Maryland Extension Program at UMES is offering a series of three (3) workshops to teach farmers how to understand and implement farm business planning principles for successful risk management decision making. In this workshop each producer will prepare their own personal plan to deal with the risks they face.
Participants are encouraged to attend all three workshops, as each workshop will build upon the next. In the end, each farmer will have developed a personal risk management plan for their farm or ranch. Each workshop is approximately 6 hours long (9am – 4pm) and will be held on Saturday on the following dates: January 21st; February 18th; and March 25th, 2017. For each workshop attended, a $30 scholarship will be provided to reimburse travel.
Pre-registration is required to participate and spaces are limited to the first 40 registrants. Lunch will be provided. Register at https://umes2017riskmgmttraining.eventbrite.com/
