About the event
Profit margins for my current crops are shrinking. Should I consider hemp? In the last three years, interest in industrial hemp production has exploded across the US. One of the consequences of the hype surrounding industrial hemp production is that people new to agriculture, representing diverse demographics, have been drawn to the industry. Misinformation surrounding this industry is rampant, especially economic potential. The objective of this session is to dispel the economic and legal mysteries of hemp production. Producers will take away a series of budgets and contract considerations.
Presenters include Dr. Aaron Smith, University of Tennessee Dr. Tyler Mark, University of Kentucky Paul Goeringer, University of Maryland.
